Building Bricks with Bricks, with Mathematica

چکیده
In this work we solve a special case of the problem of building an n-dimensional parallelepiped using a given set of n-dimensional parallelepipeds. Consider the identity x = xHx 1L Hx 2L + 3 xHx 1L + x. For sufficiently large x, we associate with x3 a cube with edges of size x, with x Hx 1L Hx 2L a parallelepiped with edges x, x 1, x 2, with 3 x Hx 1L three parallelepipeds of edges x, x 1, 1, and with x a parallelepiped of edges x, 1, 1. The problem we takle is the actual construction of the cube using the given parallelepipeds.

Bricks: an Excellent Building Material for Recycling Wastes – a Review
Brick is one of the most common masonry units as a building material due to its properties. Many attempts have been made to incorporate wastes into the production of bricks, for examples, rubber, limestone dust, wood sawdust, processed waste tea, fly ash, polystyrene and sludge. Recycling such wastes by incorporating them into building materials is a practical solution for pollution problem. Th...
متن کاملPerformance of Non-fired Green Brick Containing Rice Husk as Sustainable Building Material
The demand for sustainable alternative construction materials to cement in modern technology cannot be underemphasized. This paper presents a non-fired green brick with an agriculture residue namely, rice husk. Although, high plasticity brown clay deposits are widely distributed in Malaysia and rice husk is a well known agriculture residue, research works on non-fired green brick with rice husk...
متن کاملCharacterization of bricks and tiles from the 17th-century brick chapel, St. Mary’s City, Maryland
The brick Chapel at St. Mary’s City, Maryland, built around 1667, would have been an impressive structure on a colonial frontier where all the other buildings were built only of wood. While the building is no longer extant, the bricks remaining in the buried foundations hold information about the technologies and materials used by brickmakers in the 17th-century Chesapeake region. Instrumental ...
متن کاملEffect of Natural Fibres Inclusion in Clay Bricks: Physico-Mechanical Properties
In spite of the advent of new materials, clay bricks remain, arguably, the most popular construction materials today. Nevertheless the low cost and versatility of clay bricks cannot always be associated with high environmental and sustainable values, especially in terms of raw material sources and manufacturing processes. At the same time, the worldwide agricultural footprint is fast growing, w...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Compressive Strength of Brick Using Natural Fibres
Despite the use of modern materials, clay bricks are reasonably preferable materials nowadays. However, the moo fetched and flexibility of clay bricks are not related with tall natural and feasible values, particularly with regard to crude fabric sources and fabricating processes. Agricultural world is growing fast, with increased rural arrive development and land cultivation leading to massive...
